Other Enquiries

SBM Offshore Adventures documents a real restoration and sailing journey on Lake Ontario. If you’re reaching out for any of the following, we’re genuinely interested in hearing from you:

  • Fellow CS 33 or vintage sloop owners — always happy to compare notes on old fibreglass.
  • Sailing brands or marine suppliers interested in sponsorship or product collaboration.
  • Media, podcasts, or YouTube channels covering sailing, boat restoration, or Great Lakes cruising.
  • Domain or brand acquisition enquiries regarding sbmoffshore.co.uk or the SBM Offshore brand — feel free to make an offer.

We’re three people with full-time jobs and a leaky boat. We appreciate your patience with response times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Persistence based?
She’s moored at a small marina on the north shore of Lake Ontario, Ontario, Canada. We’ll share more location detail as the season progresses.

What’s a CS 33?
A CS 33 is a Canadian-designed fiberglass sloop built by CS Yachts of Bronte, Ontario between the late 1970s and early 1990s. Ours is a 1981 model. She has character. Lots of it.

Are you professional sailors?
Not even close. Sam has a coastal cruising certification and strong opinions about anchor chain. Billy reads charts with genuine enthusiasm. Max once fixed a lawnmower. We’re learning as we go.

Can I visit the boat?
We’re keeping the marina semi-private for now, but reach out — if the season goes well, we may open things up.
